with a later brass rail, with a fluted edge above a central frieze drawer flanked by a drawer and cupboard, on fluted legs, pot cupboard to one side
Condition
This elegant sideboard shows a nice warm colour and has been conserved. It retains its original gilt brass curtain rail (regilt); brass handles are probably replaced.
The top has been re-fitted and has small repairs to veneers and marks and scratches consistent with use and age. It has a small shrinking crack and the back is slightly bent.
The front central section has a repair (replaced veneer section) and a small loss to moulding; the right hand door has a wide shrinking crack.
