Condition
In overall good condition. The colour overall is slightly darker more natural and attractive than in the catalogue photograph. The gilt-bronze is a little dirty and would benefit from a light clean according to taste. Old very minor marks, chips and hairline cracks and restored cracks especially to the top which have been very well executed and are hardly noticeable. The casket is unusual in that the front is hinged and falls open. There are some very minor losses to the raised carved foliate decoration.
