Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze door knockers is good, with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age and function. There is minor greening to the reverses. There are nicks to the surfaces. There is dryness to the crevices, particularly to the fabric in her hands of Venus. The two mask mounts have rubbing to the patina to the chins and mouths where the knockers rubbed against them. There is slight dryness to the crevices.
