Condition

The panel is set into a simple wood frame to protect its edges, one of which has been slightly damaged in the past, lower right corner. The paint surface is in good shape and not under stress. Inspection under UV light reveals some tiny spots of old retouching, but largely the work is in its original state. There is a small repaired dmaage in the lower left corner and small restrengethenings of darker details, like the windows of the house and the form of the horse. Little brushstrokes are still visible throughout, and especially in the foliage, and tiny details like the three figures by the river in the far distance, remain intact. This lot is offered in a wooden frame, each band of a different material. The innermost band is painted and treated to look like ivory, the middle band is set with a walnut wood surface, and the remaining bands are made of oak. The outermost band is painted gold, fading slightly. The frame is in good condition.
