Condition
The canvas has been relined and is in very stable condition. The paint surface is thick and in excellent state, with details beautifully- retained both in the figures and in the architecture, and no loss of paint or thinning. Under UV there are only three or four small retouchings in the sky. The lot is offered in a gilt frame with decorative mouldings, in good condition. A lovely clean Venetian view painted with considerable skill and highly pleasing to the eye.
