Condition
Original canvas, there is a very slight canvas undulation in the top right corner.
The work appears in excellent overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals areas of fluorescence and possible retouchings to the extreme upper edge, with further traces to the face and centre left hand side of the background, which may be in keeping with the nature of the artist's materials.
Housed in a thick, gilt wooden frame.
