Catalogue Note

Michael Winner developed a keen interest in film and script writing at an early age. A consummate raconteur, he moved briefly into television before directing his first film at the age of 25, Shoot to Kill (1960), a story he wrote himself. A few comedies followed before he switched to more dramatic fare, frequently working with tough guy Charles Bronson.
