Description
- gilt-wood, mirror glass
- 150cm. high, 86.5cm wide; 4ft. 11in., 2ft. 10in.
with a later plate, and a pierced cresting with squirell motifs, with trailing foliage to the sides and apron
Condition
The frame has been re-gilded and the plate is later. There is a repaired break to the cresting and minor restored breaks to the frame/carving. Very decorative.

A similar mirror to the present lot is illustrated in The Knight of Glin and James Peill, Irish Furniture, Singapore, page. 264, pl. 237. The 'flat' carving and carved squirrels are characteristic of Irish mirrors.
