Catalogue Note

In the 1950s, Egidio Costantini (1912-2007) created works in glass to designs entrusted to him by the great artists of the day including Picasso, Arp, Chagall and Fontana.  Picasso's versatility for designs in glass and Costantini's control at the furnace led to the execution of a beautiful series of sculptures.
