Condition

Overall very good condition. Actual size smaller than the printed catalogue illustration (50 x 31 mm approximately). Enamel with bright colours and minor losses consistent with the age of the piece but not distracting. Usual signs of wear to the metal. Signed VEVER and Vever maker's mark on the edge, French assay mark's (eagle's head) on pin and hook. Pin at the back slightly bent. In a leather fitted case with gild decoration, stamped inside Are. Mon. Marret & Baugran – Vever – 19 rue de la Paix 19 – Paris – Grand Prix Exp. Univ. Paris 1884.
