Catalogue Note
Born in Bordeaux, where he was educated at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, Delorme was primarily a scenery artist before focusing on painting. He exhibited at numerous Salons in Paris (Salon d'Automne, Salon National des Beaux Arts, Salon des Tuileries) showing works of neo-classical influence mixing architecture and figures with a characteristic sense of theatre.
