Condition

Bon état général. Restauration au col (un rapport d'e la restauration est consultable sur demande). Plusieurs petites bullées éclatées en surface. Overall very good condition. With a semi-circular area of restoration (2 cm wide) at the top rim– see accompanying restorer’s report. With scattered open air bubbles throughout, including one to the interior at the midsection of the vase just below one of the beetles interior (1 cm diameter), and a few to the underbase. Each of the animals’ bodies with firing lines which extend to the top rim, inherent in the making.

Référencé sous le modèle 33 dans les archives de l'artiste. Onze exemplaires ont été réalisés ; seuls trois exemplaires sont à ce jour localisés : l'un dans une collection privée allemande, l'un dans les collections du Musée Fin-de-Siècle à Bruxelles, ancienne collection Gillion Crowet et le présent lot (exemplaire 912).

Eleven copies of this model were executed, only three are known today, one in a private German collection, one in the Musée Fin-de-Siècle, Brussels, from the collection of Baron and Baroness Gillion Crowet, and the present lot (number 912).
