of ovoid section and supported on three feet, the exterior decorated in low relief with a frieze of 'S'-scrolls, all below a geometric band and a ruyi band encircling the mouthrim, carved on one side with a ridged and undulating handle, the top of the handle set with a phoenix, the base incised with a seal mark reading han within double-squares with rounded corners, the stone of a greenish-yellow tone mottled with russet and black inclusions
