carved as a smiling boy with a small tuft of hair, lying on his front in a fetal position while grasping a long stem with both hands, the stem issuing a lotus bud and a large lotus leaf, the latter extending across the boy's back, the stone of even white colour accented with a patch of russet skin on the boy's back and leaf, soapstone stand

Condition

The overall condition is very good with no apparent nicks. The stone has some natural russet inclusions. The actual colour is consistent with the catalogue illustration.
