A Reticulated White Jade 'Parrot and Bamboo' Plaque Qing Dynasty, 18th Century

reticulated as an ovoid frame enclosing a parrot perched on a branch tied with an elegantly flowing ribbon, the frame carved with ridged nodes resembling a bamboo shoot and set with a cluster of pine and prunus blooms at the top, the smoothly polished stone of even white colour, later set with a silver ring for suspension

There are a few natural minute icy inclusions and tiny original nibbles are to be expected along the edges of the carving, but otherwise the pendant is in good condition. The actual colour is consistent with the catalogue illustration, if not slightly warmer, less grey.
