of hexagonal section and supported on four short feet, the exterior of the box carved with a broad foliate lappet band, the flat top decorated with a key-fret diapered ground, bordered with a further key-fret band, the bevelled sides of the cover carved with floral scrolls, the wood patinated to a variegated dark brown tone
