Description

with shallow rounded sides resting on a short foot, finely incised and further enamelled on the interior with a central medallion enclosing an aubergine and a green dragon vying for a 'flaming pearl', the exterior picked out in aubergine with four evenly spread clusters of grapes, all reserved on a rich yellow ground, the base inscribed in aubergine with a six-character reign mark

Condition

Both saucers are in overall good condition. There is an original 1.2 cm shallow chip to the exterior foot of one under the glaze as well as typical specks and minor imperfections on the yellow ground of the bowls. The actual colour is consistent with, if not slightly paler than, the catalogue illustration.
