Description

  • jade
of rounded rectangular form, carved on one side with a pair of confronting fish suspending from a ruyi-shaped parasol, the reverse carved in low relief with an inscription in seal script, the cartouche surmounted by an archaistic crest formed of ruyi-heads and concentric curved lines with an aperture pierced through the centre, all above further ruyi motifs below the cartouche, the smoothly polished stone of even white colour

Condition

There is a minute dent along the right edge of the pendant on the side with inscription (showing on the illustration in the catalogue), as well as a few light scratches and minor wear in areas but overall the pendant is in very good condition. The actual colour is slightly warmer compared to the catalogue illustration.
