of compressed globular form supported on a short ovoid footrim, the darker-brown skin of the stone intricately utilised to convey a figure and monkey carrying out a performance, the monkey using one of its feet to hold a wine pot and the other to pour wine into a cup in the sage's palm, one side subtly carved with an engraved sword, the reverse of the attractive pale beige stone undecorated with speckles of darker-brown
