Description

  • porcelain
each decorated with five multi-coloured bats encircling a central peach, the underside with the sanduo ('Three Abundances'), the base inscribed in iron red with a four-character seal mark

Condition

The ten saucer dishes are all generally in good condition. There are a few expected pinholes or minute specks in the glaze, minor impurities to the enamels, or occasional kiln stains to the footrim but overall the group has been remarkably well preserved. The enamels are very good and the decoration is skilfully painted. The actual colour is less yellow compared to the catalogue illustration.
