Description

  • jade
carved in openwork with two boys dressed in flowing robes joyfully playing a drum, one holding a sprig of lingzhi, the other a musical chime, the translucent stone of warm celadon-white colour with faint russet veins on the reverse

Condition

The plaque is in overall good condition with expected very minor nibbles to the edges of the carving. The actual colour is consistent if not slightly warmer and less grey compared to the illustration in the catalogue.
