Description

  • Jade
naturalistically carved and hollowed in openwork in the form of a melon, attached to a leafy stem issuing serrate leaves and curling tendrils extending over the rim onto the interior of the well, the pale celadon stone with a russet patch, carved wood stand

Condition

There is some natural pitting to the surface in one area on the underside and some minute nibbling to the rim on one lobe, but overall the washer is in very good condition. The actual colour is sligthly deeper and warmer compared to the catalogue illustration.
