Description

  • porcelain
with shallow rounded sides rising to a broad flat rim, the interior applied with a pair of sprig-molded scaly fish swimming in opposite directions, the exterior carved with lotus petals radiating upwards from the foot, all under a semi-transparent and lustrous sea-green glaze stopping neatly around the foot

Condition

There is some extensive surface wear and scratches to the glaze on the interior. There are two iron spots and a burst air bubble on the cavetto. Otherwise the dish is in good condition. The actual colour is of a somewhat warmer and deeper blueish-green tone compared to the illustration in the catalogue.
