the zhadou decorated with phoenix and cranes among clouds below a translucent blue glaze, the interior and the base left white, inscribed with a four-character Chenghua mark, the blue and white box of compressed globular form, decorated with 'The Hundred Boys at Play', wood stand
Condition
The zhadou is in good overall condition with the exception of minute fritting around the rim and some expected minor firing imperfections including iron spots, impurities and light glaze scratches. The actual colour is somewhat lighter comapred to the illustration in the catalogue. The box and cover are in good condition. The actual tone of cobalt is also brighter compared to the catalogue illustration.
