well cast in the form of a recumbent mythical beast, its mane and tail naturalistically rendered and its muscular taut body detailed with protruding bosses
Condition
The bronze paperweight is in good overall condition. There is some natural pitting in areas on the surface, consistent with age, as well as some occasional patches of malachite oxidization (visible on the illustration in the catalogue), but otherwise the bronze animal is in good condition. The actual colour is somewhat less red, more brownish-brown compared to the catalogue photo.
