carved standing dressed in long falling robes, wearing a crown and holding a tablet in his hands, the ivory patinated to a rich amber-brown colour, wood stand
Provenance
Collection of Edward T. Chow, thence by descent.
Condition
The figure is in overall good condition. The top of the crown is sectional and carved from a different section of ivory. There are a few small nicks along the top edge of the tablets and expected vertical age cracks as visible on the photo.
