Description
- Porcelain
of octagonal form tapering to a short rim, covered overall with a brownish-black glaze simulating bronze, incised and gilt with upright leaves skirting the base and key-fret collaring the shoulder, the interior glazed in cream-white, the base incised with a six-character seal mark
Provenance
Acquired in Hong Kong, 25th March 1986.
Condition
The washer is in good overall condition. The gilding within the incisions is rubbed (visible on the catalogue illustration). There are some gaps in the cream-white glaze applied on the interior. The actual colour is consistent with the catalogue illustration.
