the lion carved recumbent turning its head to the left, a single curling horn extending over his ribbed spine, the two seals carved with lion finials, standing foursquare on oval bases, the seal faces reading Weiju shanfang ('Mountain pavillion chrysanthemum retreat/taste') and Qin shu ('From Qin library'), wood stands
Condition
All three pieces are in good condition. There are some icy inclusions and light nibbling to the edges of the recumbent lion. The actual colour of the jade is somewhat less yellow more white-celadon compared to the catalogue illustration.
