each with deep rounded sides rising from a low foot to a lobed rim, set with a domed cover surmounted by a dished finial, deftly painted with literati episodes depicting court ladies in opulent interiors against a gilt ground, the base of the bowls and the top of the covers inscribed with a six-character iron red seal mark reserved on a white panel against a turquoise ground, the interior glazed turquoise

Condition

The two bowls are in overall good condition. There is some expected rubbing or light scratches in areas to the over glazed enamels on the exterior, but generally the enamels have been well-preserved. There is a very tiny flake to the gilding near the rim of one. There is some expected surface wear to the turquoise interiors.
