Description

modelled in the form of a furled lotus leaf attached to a stem elegantly looping over the rim, set with an attendant bud extending on the underside, the interior incised with veins, the guan-type washers of barbed square section and of peach form respectively, applied with a caesium-coloured glaze suffused with grey crackles and transmuting to brown towards the edges, the latter with wood stands
Condition
The are a couple of small body lines to the rim and a burst air bubble to the underside of the blanc-de-Chine washer, it is otherwise in good condition. There is a minute shallow chip to the tip of the peach-shaped washer, possibly original to the firing (showing on the illustration in the catalogue), it is otherwise in good condition. The square washer is in good condition with only some minor bubbling to the rim.
