Description

each decorated on the interior with an iron-red dragon writhing among blue and white clouds in reach of a central 'flaming pearl', the underside similarly decorated with two dragons striding in mutual pursuit, the base inscribed in iron red with a six-character Daoguang Gengxu nian zhi date (in accordance with 1850)

Condition

There is an area of orange discolouration in the glaze to the interior of both dishes, together with a few pinholes or specks on the interior and underside. Otherwise the two dishes are in good condition.
