Description

the vase modelled from a clear indigo-blue glass, the body of lobed globular form supported on a splayed foot, rising up to a long tubular neck issuing from two steps encircling the shoulder; the bowl modelled from opaque yellow glass, carved around the sides with four panels enclosing a variety of flowers and birds

Condition

There is a 10 cm. horizontal hairline to the side of the bowl together with some light scratches to the surface on the interior, wear to the underside of the base and minor nibbling around the mouth rim and footrim. There is a crack encircling the base of the bottle vase (extending on approx. two third of the circumference), together with some pitting in areas on the rim and wear on the underside. The actual colours are close to the catalogue illustration.
