Description

  • glass
of cylindrical form supported on a high foot, below a waisted neck and upturned rim, formed from a solid block of opaque white glass overlaid with a layer of opaque pink glass, the body carved with recessed panels enclosing figural scenes and set with clambering chilong handles picked out in the pink overlay, all below incised pendant lappets around the shoulder

Condition

The vase is in good overall condition. There are a few original black inclusions or specks in the pink overlay, as well as a few minute nicks around the footrim. The actual colour is less yellow, more white compared to the catalogue illustration.
