  • southern elm
of rectangular form with a single board joined to slightly splayed cylindrical legs by mortises and tenons, the legs secured by a humpbacked stretcher in the form of a rounded angular apron with further cylindrical vertical struts, a further pair of humpbacked stretchers securing the legs on the shorter sides
