Description

  • Huanghuali
of cylindrical form with thick walls resting on a flat base hollowed out in the centre and fitted with a central plug, the exterior carved with an uneven knotty surface with gnarls to simulate a segment of tree trunk, the wood richly patinated to a warm amber-brown colour mottled with golden streaks

Condition

There are expected age cracks and surface wear to the surface. There are minor nicks to the extremities as can be expected. Otherwise, the brushpot is in overall good condition.
