Description

the cup of ten-lobed section with a barbed rim, raised on a short splayed stem, incised with a  flower spray on each lobe, below a border of 'classic' scroll around the rim and above thin hatched lines around the base, the interior similarly incised with flower sprays, applied overall including on the base with a transparent pale blueish-celadon glaze; the bowl of conical form and sanggam type, decorated in black and white inlays on a green ground with cranes flying among trefoil clouds around a central wheel, the exterior with four chrysanthemum

Condition

There is a 1.5 cm restoration to the rim of the stemcup in gold lacquer (showing on the illustration in the catalogue). There is a large kiln grit (1 cm.) on one lobe near the rim on the exterior. There are three spur marks under the base. The sanggam decorated bowl is generally in good condition with some expected wear and light scratches to the surface glaze.
