Condition
The canvas has been lined. There are some isolated areas of craquelure to the canvas and some discolouration and flecks of paint loss in the sky left side. Also some bituminisation to the darker tones of the canvas.
Ultraviolet light reveals an opaque varnish. There appear to be some isolated flecks of retouching in places of the canvas, mainly corresponding to above mentioned discolouration.
Held in its original gilt plaster frame.
