Catalogue Note
First English edition of this paper-doll book, complete with all moving parts as issued.
An extraordinary and rare book, issued as a companion to Little Fanny, Henry, Ellen, Phoebe, etc., this being the only title actually based upon a traditional tale for children. The most remarkable costume includes a folding carriage drawn by horses.
Excessively rare in its complete state, especially in this condition. Not in Osborne or Hosmer collections; the Gumuchian copy (1986) lacking one costume and not noting any hats; Marian Howard, Paper Dolls apparently lacks the printed slipcase and one hat.
