First edition, second issue (first American edition), comprising the sheets of the first (suppressed) English edition of 1865 with a cancel title. In the present copy the cancel title appears to be the one printed in New York, as the first "By" is slightly to the left of the "C" in "Carroll" and "B" in the second "By" is directly above the "T" in Tenniell.
