Catalogue Note
First edition of the "Three Little Pigs", one of two copies known. "The eight hand-colored copper engravings appear to illustrate all the major incidents of the story, and it is possible the ninth plate advertised on the cover never existed" (Graham & Shefrin).
Not in Cotsen or Osborne catalogue but the only other copy is in Osborne (also with 8 plates).
The History of the Prince Renardo is an expanded and altered version of the "Nanny Goose" story combined with a version of the "Three Little Pigs."
