of hexagonal form, lacquered overall in black, the cover constructed with six sloping sides, the underside of corresponding form rising to a short tapered rim

Condition

As visible in the catalogue photo, the decoration of dotted lines has been rubbed and is now quite faint. There are several small chips and bruises to the peripheries, and shallow flakes (most severe 0.6cm). There is other surface wear and a 0.4cm small chip to the inner flange of the cover.
