Kwakiutl Polychromed Wood Figure

probably depicting a shaman, carved from a large block of wood, the figure of stylized form, in a seated position, with arms resting on the slightly distended abdomen, head with broad down-turned mouth, hooked nose, deep set eye sockets and oval eye rims beneath thick arching brows, painted in yellow, green and black pigments.
