the bag, composed of softly tanned hide painted overall with yellow ochre, with vertical stripes in red pigment, sinew sewn in tiny glass seed beads against a white, lazy-stitched ground, with stylized butterfly designs, and concentric rectangles on narrow bands down each side, trimmed with long, beaded split-tongue pendants, together with a pipe stem, of cylindrical section with a narrow groove in slight relief, and catlinite bowl with raised carinated bowl.

Condition

Bag is in very good overall condition with typical wear for age. Minor chips to the bowl; stem is in very good condition.
