each with cartouche-shaped pierced back with Gothick interlaced design and carved with foliate scrolls, the upholstered seat with veneered rail with rope moulding above four leaf carved cabriole legs ending on raised scroll feet
Condition
These impressive chairs are in overall good condition and have minor repaired breaks to back, they have repairs and marks of old woodworm - which seem to be no longer active - to rail veneers; Marks and scratches consistent with age and use. A varnish has been applied to surface which can be improved with its removal. Now upholstered in a modern yellow floral silk.
