- 53cm. 21in. high
5ΒΌ-inch enamel dial signed J Bte Dutertre a Paris, the bell striking movement with star cut outside count wheel, silk suspension and flat bottomed plates, the case surmounted by an eagle and flanked by seated female figures, the front inset with plaques depicting putti engaged in various pursuits, the bow-ended plinth with finely cast and chased foliate and scroll mounts, on knurled feet
Condition
Dial in generally very good condition, old restoration to right winding hole. Movement is complete and running at time of cataloguing but may benefit from some fresh oil. Case in generally very good condition with fine mounts retaining their original gilding, one or two very minor edge chips to the marble. With pendulum but no winder.
