4½-inch enamel dial signed Le Roy A Paris, pierced and engraved hands, the bell striking movement with star-cut outside count wheel and silk suspension, flat bottomed plates, the drum mounted on a stack of books beside the seated figure of Urania, the muse of astonomy, together with a globe, telescope and star charts, the base with scroll and leaf mounts

Condition

Dial in generally good condition with a few minor scratches and very minor chips to right winding hole. Movement is complete and running at time of cataloguing but may benefit from some fresh oil. Case in generally good condition and retains much of the original gilding, a little rubbed in places. With pendulum and a winder.
