A Louis XVI ormolu mantel clock, Etienne Lenoir, Paris, circa 1775

7-inch enamel dial signed Etienne Lenoir A Paris, the bell striking movement with outside count wheel, silk suspension and flat bottomed plates, the case with broken-arch top and mounted with putti and swags, the plinth inset with a plaque depicting putti at play flanked by folliate scrolls

Dial has hair crack between VII and VIII and minor chips to both winding holes. Movement is complete and running at time of cataloguing but would benefit from a clean. Case in good condition and retains much of the original gilding, some minor rubbing to edges and high points. With pendulum but no winder.
