An Empire ormolu-mounted Paris porcelain mantel clock, French, circa 1800

4½-inch enamel dial inscribed A Paris, bell striking movement with star-cut outside count wheel and later Brocot suspension, mounted within a restored dark blue porcelain urn with lid and finial surmount above metamorphic putti and laurel mounts, the base with concave corners

Dial has chips to both winding holes , other minor chips and hair cracks to the edge, good original hands. Movement is complete but would benefit from a clean, later Brocot suspension. The case has extensive restoration to the porcelain, the mounts are rather dirty but appear to retain much of the original gilding. With pendulum and a winder.
