- Walnut marquetry, brass, steel, glass
- 201cm. 6ft. 7in. high
11-inch dial with cherub and leaf spandrels, signed Tho Bradford Londini Fecit, matted centre with ringed winding holes and date aperture, seconds dial, well pierced hands, five ring turned knopped pillars, inside count wheel with external detent striking on a bell, the case with flat top moulded cornice, tapered hood pillars, rectangular trunk door with glass lenticle, three panels of well-drawn bird and flower marquetry, the plinth with a further panel of similar marquetry
Condition
Dial would benefit from a clean, seconds hand replaced. Movement is complete and retains the original wheelwork throughout, much in need of a clean, seat board replaced. Case is of correct period and style but possibly associated; alterations to hood, fret now replaced with veneered panel, otherwise generally good throughout, apron to plinth replaced. With pendulum, 2 brass-cased weights, winder and case key.
