A Louis XV French Chinoiserie landscape tapestry, Aubusson 18th century and later

woven within a four-sided gold and red frame pattern border, the bands with twisted flowering trails with acanthus leaf medallion corners, with blue selvedges

Measurements: 496cm wide across the top, 492cm. across the bottom, 284cm high left side, 284cm high right side; This tapestry is lined and has Velcro attached for hanging purposes in the future. There are some scattered old repairs and small reweaves overall, in different colours, to foliage and details. Some repair to the red flowers, red of wings of bird, and to red/pink to leaves and sails. Evidence of original blue selvedge, which is tucked under on sides, and along lower edge. This tapestry has been professionally restored in the past. It is therefore in condition. It would benefit from light clean/airing. It is a decorative piece in overall stable condition.
